On the 14th November 12 a Total Solar Eclipse was visible from Queensland, Australia. Many people took opportunity of the wide variety of acommodation and viewing locations along the Cairns to Port Douglas coastline, as well as at inland locations. I wasn’t able to make the trip across from Perth to Queensland but did still get outside early before sunrise on the morning of the 14th to photograph the eclipse from Perth, Western Australia.
I was plagued by a major technical issue – forgetting the camera adaptor to join camera to telescope! however I still managed a few photo’s to record the event.
For us in Western Australia the eclipse was well in progress at sunrise, and we would only see the Moon slightly eclipsing the Sun. You can see the result in the below photographs of the solar eclipse.
